Certifications The Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) is a delegated body by the Board of Engineers Malaysia established as the only recognized accrediting body for engineering technology bachelor degree, engineering diploma and engineering technology diploma programmes offered in Malaysia. ETAC is made up of representatives from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), the Public Services Department and other relevant learned societies. The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA; Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia) is a statutory body in Malaysia set up under the Malaysian Qualifications Act 2007 to accredit academic programmes provided by educational institutions providing post secondary or higher education and facilitate the accreditation and articulation of qualifications. 31 The Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia is the premier professional organization for the surveying profession. The Institution comprises four distinct but closely related Divisions i.e. Geomatics and Land Surveying Division, Quantity Surveying Division, Property Surveying Division and Building Surveying Division.
