Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kejuruteraan Pembuatan (Rekabentuk Automotif) Dengan Kepujian (HGD)

Program Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kejuruteraan Pembuatan (Rekabentuk Automotif) dengan Kepujian yang ditawarkan di Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah (PSAS) telah dibangunkan untuk mengisi keperluan tenaga kerja dalam sebahagian ruang lingkup bidang kejuruteraan pembuatan yang sangat luas. Program yang berasaskan Workbase Learning (WBL) ini menyediakan pengetahuan dan kemahiran yang khusus dalam bidang rekabentuk automotif dan kejuruteraan pembuatan yang boleh diaplikasi untuk pelbagai kerjaya dalam industry automotif masa kini. Pelajar akan lebih banyak didedahkan dengan pelbagai elemen inovatif melalui silibus dan kurikulum yang lebih memfokuskan kepada proses rekabentuk komponen asas automotif yang seterusnya membawa kepada rekabentuk pembuatan enjin serta rekabentuk badan kenderaan keseluruhannya.
    
Antara modul pengajian yang ditawarkan di dalam program ini adalah RekaBentuk Automotif, Sistem Automotif, Peraturandan Undang-undang Automotif, Teknologi Hijau Automotif, Analisis Unsur Tak Terhingga dan Sistem Pengurusan Pengeluaran. Pengetahuan dan kemahiran yang diperoleh oleh pelajar daripada program ini akan membolehkan mereka menyahut cabaran dalam pasaran kerja yang sangat mencabar pada masa kini lebih-lebihlagi dalam bidang automotif. Justeru, program ini sangat signifikan untuk melahirkan tenaga kerja profesional yang kompeten dan mampu membangunkan rekabentuk yang baru atau menambah baik struktur mesin, enjin, transmisi, atau sistem kenderaan lain yang sedia ada dengan menggunakan teknologi terkini serta dibantu dengan perisian rekabentuk komputer yang terkini.

Tempoh Pengajian – 3 Tahun (PSAS) + 1 Tahun (Industri)

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

PEO1:

Able to produce technologist in fields related in manufacturing engineering and automotive design discipline and technically competent as well as able to adapt themselves with technological advancements and challenges.

PEO2:

Able to develop good communication and social skills, leadership qualities and willingness to be responsible towards developing the country and community.

PEO3:

Able to demonstrate management skills and recognize the needs for lifelong learning and successful career advancement.

PEO4:

Able to demonstrate professional success and solve problem innovatively, creatively and ethically with economic and technical considerations.

 

PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES (PLO)

Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

PLO1:

Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, manufacturing and automotive design principles, and humanities to the engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.

PLO2:

Solve engineering problems systematically to reach substantiated conclusions, using tools and techniques appropriate in manufacturing automotive design technology

PLO3:

Design solutions for automotive engineering technology problems, including systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, as well as cultural, societal, environmental and sustainability concerns.

PLO4:

Plan and conduct experimental investigations related to automotive design problems, using data from relevant sources.

PLO5:

Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, with an understanding of their limitations.

PLO6:

Demonstrate creative proficiency in practical skills to deliver a complete and original design, production system for a manufacturing or automotive engineering technology in order to be competitive in the industry and contribute to the national growth

PLO7:

Function effectively as individuals or as leaders in diverse technical teams.

PLO8:

Communicate effectively with the engineering community and society at large

PLO9:

Demonstrate awareness and consideration for societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues, and their consequent responsibilities in engineering practices or personal development

PLO10:

Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practices and need for sustainable development.

PLO11:

Demonstrate an awareness of management, business practices and entrepreneurship
